Building Better Places Together

BioGain exists to help people care for land, grounds, habitats and outdoor spaces. Whether you're a homeowner, gardener, greenkeeper, ecologist, estate manager, local authority, conservation volunteer or contractor, we want BioGain to be a trusted, professional and welcoming place to collaborate.

These Community Standards explain the behaviour we expect from everyone using BioGain. They apply to all users and all content shared through the platform.

Our Principles

We encourage our community to:

• Be respectful and professional.

• Share accurate and honest information.

• Work collaboratively.

• Protect wildlife, habitats and the environment.

• Respect the privacy of others.

• Help create a safe and welcoming community.

User-Generated Content

User-generated content includes anything you create or upload within BioGain, including:

• Observations

• Actions (Tasks)

• Photographs and images

• Comments

• Chat messages

• Documents and attachments

• Profile information

• AI-assisted content that you choose to publish

You are responsible for ensuring the content you submit is appropriate and that you have permission to share it.

Be Respectful

We expect users to treat one another with courtesy and professionalism.

Please:

• Be constructive and helpful.

• Respect different opinions and approaches.

• Assume good intentions.

• Keep discussions relevant to the site or project.

Do not:

• bully or harass others;

• intimidate or threaten users;

• use offensive, abusive or discriminatory language;

• deliberately provoke conflict or arguments.

Keep Information Accurate

BioGain is used to manage real places and real work.

Please ensure that observations, tasks and comments are accurate and made in good faith.

Do not deliberately submit false, misleading or fraudulent information.

Respect Privacy

Do not share another person's personal information without their permission.

Only upload photographs or documents that you have the right to use.

Avoid posting confidential information unless you are authorised to do so.

Protect Wildlife and the Environment

BioGain supports responsible environmental management.

Please do not use the platform to promote activities that:

• deliberately damage protected habitats;

• harm protected species;

• encourage illegal environmental activities;

• promote irresponsible land management.

Prohibited Content

The following content is not permitted on BioGain:

• Illegal content.

• Hate speech.

• Harassment or bullying.

• Threats or intimidation.

• Sexually explicit material.

• Violent or graphic content.

• Child exploitation or abuse material.

• Spam or unsolicited advertising.

• Malware or malicious software.

• Fraudulent or deceptive content.

• Copyright infringement.

• Content intended to disrupt the platform or other users.

Child Safety

BioGain has zero tolerance for content or behaviour that exploits, endangers or harms children.

This includes:

• grooming;

• child sexual abuse material;

• encouraging abuse;

• bullying or harassment of children;

• any activity that places children at risk.

Any such content or behaviour may result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to the appropriate authorities where required by law.

Artificial Intelligence

BioGain may provide AI-assisted features to help users summarise information or improve productivity.

AI-generated content should always be reviewed before publication.

Users remain responsible for the accuracy of any information they publish, whether created manually or with AI assistance.

Reporting Content

If you see content or behaviour that breaches these Community Standards, please report it using the reporting tools available within BioGain.

You can report:

• Observations

• Actions (Tasks)

• Images

• Comments

• Chat messages

• User profiles

Reports are treated confidentially and reviewed as quickly as reasonably possible.

Content Moderation

BioGain uses a combination of automated tools and human review to help keep the platform safe.

This may include:

• profanity filtering;

• automated detection of potentially inappropriate content;

• review of reported content;

• review of reported users;

• removal or restriction of content that breaches these standards.

Repeated or serious breaches may result in account suspension or permanent removal.

Enforcement

Depending on the severity of a breach, BioGain may:

• provide guidance or warnings;

• remove or hide content;

• temporarily restrict features;

• suspend user accounts;

• permanently terminate accounts;

• notify relevant organisations;

• report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities where required by law.

Appeals

If you believe content has been removed or action has been taken in error, you may contact BioGain Support to request a review.

We will consider all appeals fairly and aim to respond promptly.
